July 2013 was tied for 10th warmest July on record globally (land/ocean surface combined), according to NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS). The global temperature for last July averaged 0.54 degrees C. (0.97 F.) above the 1951-1980 base period average, tying it with July of 2003.
